Owens Reads for Kids Video Book Series

Are you looking for a family-friendly activity you can participate in from the comfort of home during inclement weather? Get cozy, click record and read a children’s picture book to be uploaded for the Owens Reads for Kids program! Owens Express

RIDE THE TRAIN! Celebrate Owens CC’s 2022-23 OCCAC All-Sports Award and join the excitement by cheering on your favorite Express team from the variety of athletic programs available – Men’s Baseball and Basketball, Women’s Softball, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and returning in the 2024 season: MEN’S SOCCER!!

The BIG Read

Help bring awareness of different perspectives through books and accompanying activities on campus and in our surrounding communities by joining The BIG Read book club, participating in on and off-campus events, attending the author speaking event, and offering community literacy outreach.

Oregon Road Film Series

Join us as we watch and discuss films and visit the Library’s display of books with the same theme. Gather a small group to compete in the Film Challenge in which participating teams are given 48 hours to create short films; Fall and Spring semester filming opportunities are offered. Stay tuned for links to vote for the People’s Choice Award which will be selected via online voting following the spring filming dates.

The Silo

Submit a creative work to The Silo, the journal for OCC students and alumni; the 3rd edition is scheduled for publication on March 17, 2024. Submissions will be due January 17, 2025 for inclusion in the 4th edition.

Career & Transfer Services

Utilize services, connect with prospective employers or employees, or volunteer your expertise: virtual workshops, career exploration, targeted Job Fairs and free Job Board, mock interviewing, internships – Career & Transfer Services offers something for everyone at all stages of any career field!

Community Connection

Join in building community at Owens by identifying needs and working together toward solutions through The Harvest Project’s community garden and apiary events, service opportunities, Action and Resource Fairs, or donation drives for the Food Panty, Career Closet, or Student Emergency Fund. Consider utilizing the well-equipped community multi-purpose room for your next hands-on volunteer project or to share information with the Owens community about your organization.
