Owens Community College is excited to partner with your secondary institution with College Credit Plus! We look forward to working with you to create a partnership that is a benefit to your students. As partners, Owens and the school system or career technical center will sign an agreement verifying the terms and conditions of the program.
Owens Community College will:
- Assist you in creating the 15 and 30 credit hour pathways, as required by the program
- Assist you in identifying a faculty member at your institution that meets the minimum credentialing standards
- Provide a speaker at your designated College Credit Plus informational meeting for parents and students
- Provide placement testing onsite for your students
- Assist students in course registration
- Assign an academic advisor for each student, as well as orientation prior to the start of the semester
- Provide a professional development opportunity for your high school CCP teacher
- Conduct at least one classroom observation per year for courses taught onsite in your building
As a partner, you will:
- Submit official transcripts and all required documents to Owens for admissions
- Verify students are not enrolled in more than the allowed credit hours per the CCP rules
- Approve all student schedules to ensure high school graduation requirements are met
- Comply and provide all documentation to the state in regards to student participation
