The Owens Nutrition Concentration prepares you for transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food science, nutrition or other related fields.

You will begin your journey in dietetics, menu development, food safety, food allergies and nutritional counseling.

The Nutrition Concentration equips you with the essential knowledge to launch a successful career in the vital field of dietetics & nutrition within the healthcare industry.

About the Nutrition Concentration, AS

The Owens Nutrition Concentration will provide you the knowledge you need to start your degree path in dietetics or nutrition.

You will advance your skills in dietary counseling, nutritional counseling, menu development, clinical nutrition, food allergies and public health.

The Nutrition Concentration will provide you with experience in helping patients and clients meet their health and nutrition goals.

Upon completion of the degree, students are eligible to take the nationally recognized Certified Dietary Manager credentialing exam.

Nutrition Concentration students should regularly meet with an advisor.
